Pink Lemonade Summer Fun
Spring is well underway and the temperature is rising, fruity alcoholic beverages are the order of the times. Newly released in 2021, Smirnoff Pink Lemonade could be the star of your first backyard get-together this season.
Nose
The aroma of Smirnoff Pink Lemonade is quite pleasant. Lemonade with a slight hint of strawberry, raspberry, and of the flavors. Kind of like cotton candy but more distinct.
Taste
Smirnoff Pink Lemonade tastes exactly like it smells, add the patented Smirnoff burn. Even though it is only 30% abv, it still Smirnoff, only distilled 3 times. The burn doesn’t completely destroy the drink but it makes for a rough shot.
Mixology
In my opinion, Smirnoff is undrinkable straight up. I tried it with club soda which made it bubbly and fun while knocking off the burn. I could also see this being a great punch with club soda, a frozen concentrated pink lemonade, topped with a medley of berries.
Conclusion
Citrus fruits seem to be the go-to this year alcoholic beverage producers. While citrus fruits are a wonderful addition to mixed drinks, they do not seem to bottle well. Citrus fruit flavors seem to pour off bland from the bottle. Fruit flavors are much better fresh from the fruit or at least mixed from their own bottle. While Smirnoff’s Pink Lemonade Vodka would make a great base for a punch, you would be better off buying your personal favorite brand of vodka and adding some pink lemonade to it. I would not recommend this unless you are a fan of Smirnoff.
Recipe
1 bottle of Smirnoff Pink Lemonade
2 Liter Sprite or 7up
Minute Made Concentrated Frozen Pink Lemonade
1 cup of fresh Strawberries
1 cup of fresh blackberries
1 cup of fresh blueberries
In a punch bowl, place the entire frozen concentrated pink lemonade. Add the alcohol and soda and stir. Allow a few hours for the lemonade to melt, stirring occasionally. Add in the fruit just before serving.
