New Amsterdam’s version of hard lemonade is probably the best ready to drink mix I’ve ever had. Definitely the best over 20% abv.
Taste
Every sip starts out with a burst of pink lemonade and ends with a bit of alcoholic burn. Unlike Smirnoff Pink Lemonade the lemonade flavor is not diluted. Pink Whitney is not watered down at all.
Nose
Smells like pink lemonade and vodka mixed together. Not pungent nor extraordinary pleasant either.
Mixology
While New Amsterdam’s take on hard pink lemonade is good over ice, it makes a sweeter mix. I’ve added Country Time Pink Lemonade to it and it was even better. I also mixed it with Ocean Spray’s Cranberry Pomegranate juice and it was more delightful.
Final Thought
If you are looking for a summer ready mix, forget offering by Ciroc and Smirnoff, this is the winner. I am definitely going to be picking Pink Whitney up on the regular.
